PlayStation Plus Headed To Vita

PlayStation Plus subscribers get all sorts of goodies. An annual payment will get you discounts, early access to betas, and immediate access to a decently sized game library. However, this has only been open to PS3 users, until now.

Yesterday at Gamescom, it was announced that Sony’s PlayStation Plus service would be extended to PS Vita. There aren’t any specific dates yet, but it will be happening sometime before the end of the year. This news was also accompanied with announcing the expansion of the Plus cloud storage from 150MB to 1GB.

For September, it’s looking like you’ll get Red Dead Redemption at no additional charge for the game of the month. However, this will only be available to European subscribers. While that may be sad for those of us in northern America, hopefully the perks that they will offer up to entice people to subscribe in the coming months will make up for it.
