Next month, Assassin’s Creed: American Revolution Edition will be hitting our stores. With it comes a new adventure with a new hero. While we’re still don’t know a ton about what to expect from the single player experience, CVG has gotten a glimpse into the multiplayer aspect of the game.
One thing that’s good to know is that Ubisoft Annecy is putting a lot of work into the multiplayer experience. So much, in fact, that they say that it could honestly be a standalone game, just as it is.
In the multiplayer game, you’ll be taking the role of a common townsperson who seeks to “relive the past in HD” by way of the Animus, which has been turned into a commercial product. You’ll be supplied with new unlockable content every month, which will have you traveling back through time. You’ll even find that the environments will impact your multiplayer expereince, with things like precipitation impairing your vision, and impromptu weapons being used for deadly special attacks.
