The newest piece of DLC, Hearthfire, for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is available now for the Xbox 360. Players can download this content for 400 Microsoft Points off of the Xbox Live Marketplace. Bethesda sent out a press release this morning in attempts to dragon shout the news to everyone.
The new DLC allows players to purchase land and build their home from the ground up. They can choose to build a one-room cottage, or go all-out and construct the biggest and most lavish manor in all the country. Each piece of the home will be available to players, and with an all-new set of crafting tools and skills the house will easily become their home.
A child adoption system has been added with this DLC, allowing you to become the parent you’ve always wanted. You can also hire people to work in your home, doing various tasks such as selling items and harvesting your garden. There’s always something to do in Hearthfire.
While the news of this DLC releasing makes us happy, it’s bittersweet. PS3 players are still waiting for their Dawnguard DLC that’s been out already for both the Xbox 360 and PC for some time now. There hasn’t been any new word on progress yet, as unfortunate technical issues have been slowing things down.
