Additional XCOM: Enemy Unknown DLC Planned To Release In 2013

XCOM: Enemy Unknown was one of the more well-received titles of this year, and a lot of people I know are enjoying the game. It’s done well enough, in fact, that the game’s developers deem it worthy of receiving more of its own DLC. There are already two planned sets of content to release for the game, the Elite Soldier and Slingshot Content Packs, and once they release more will be on the way next year.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a turn-based strategy game where players customize their squad of soldiers to fend off an alien attack on Earth. The game offers a lot of action for players, and there’s a lot of strategy that goes into making it through each level. You really have to play your cards right in order to survive later in the game.

The Slingshot Content Pack for XCOM will be centered around three new maps related to the Council missions in the game. These maps will offer more customization options for your characters and you’ll gain another squad member. The pack’s price and release date are yet to be announced, but it’ll be coming soon. The Elite Soldier Pack is already available, and it includes a classic X-COM soldier for your squad as well as deco packs and complete color customization. You can grab it for 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99.
