Black Ops II Receives Update For Xbox 360

Treyarch has just released a title update for the recently-released Call of Duty: Black Ops II for the Xbox 360 version. The update is set to address some issues that have been bugging out the game. Players have been having a hard time in some of the most basic gameplay sessions it seems.

Though there isn’t any patch notes listed, the update has been put in place to remedy the following problems:

  • The Theater Mode “UI Error 226117”
  • Dragonfire glitch – stops the Scorestreak from launching correctly
  • Escort Drone glitch – stops the unit from attacking the owner while under the map

Most players should be able to download and install the update now, though some may have to wait. Game Design Director David Vonderhaar commented on Twitter saying, “Deployments like these are usually staggered over the course of a few hours. So hang tight. You’ll get it eventually.”

The developers are also looking into the Care Package glitch that makes the package bounce off the map after hitting the ground. It’s good that they’re working to hammer out some of the issues, because it’s no secret that there have been plenty since the game’s launch. That being said, there’s still no word on Nuketown.
