The newest set of DLC for Borderlands 2 has been announced and detailed. This new content is called Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage and it will have plenty to keep players busy. Not to mention you’ll be fighting for your lives throughout this journey, as well as your loot.
Campaign of Carnage follows a storyline that surrounds a new vault discovered in Pandora. Apparently this vault lies in the middle of a large crater and it’s quite hardcore. It will only open, supposedly, “once the champion of Pandora feeds it the blood of the ultimate coward.” That’s pretty badass if you ask me. You stumble into the campaign to meet Mr. Torgue Himself, who reminds me a lot of Macho Man Randy Savage. In fact, it probably is him.
Honestly, though, Mr. Torgue sounds like my kind of guy. When you meet him he describes the vault in such a subtle, yet meaningful way, “We at the Torgue Corporation sincerely believe this is f**king awesome – so awesome that we’re going to set up a tournament to find this number one badass.” This totally sweet tournament will take place in a special arena that will be built around the huge crater, serving as the center point for the DLC.
As usual the DLC will offer plenty of new missions for all players level 15 or higher, new loot, new characters, and even new currency. Just as we’ve seen in Pirate’s Booty, the enemies have all received a new look to become different versions of existing ones: Marauders have been changed into bikers, and Goliaths have become Enforcers. Of course, all of these enemies come complete with a badass makeover.
You can pick up Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage on November 20th for $9.99. It’s also a part of the Season Pass for Borderlands 2 that’s $29.99, which isn’t a bad value considering it offers up four expansions through June 2013. Make sure you strap in and build up those biceps for this new content. You’re going to need them.
