Yoshi Land Possibly Coming To The Wii U

A little while back we posted an article about a Wii U user who “hacked” into the system to find a mock-up database screen. On that screen a game called Yoshi Land was listed, and while Nintendo stressed that the accessed screen was nothing more than a mock creation, some information has surfaced that looks like there could be some truth to the actual listing.

Canadian listings for retail locations Best Buy and Future Shop have appeared mentioning the game. There’s a price of $59.99 on the game as well as a release date of December 31st, 2013. Furthermore there’s a brief description of the game:

Take Yoshi on an epic adventure to remember in Yoshi Land for Nintendo Wii U. Check out Yoshi as you’ve never seen him before: in glorious high definition. Enjoy dual-screen control thanks to the Wii U Touchscreen GamePad, while you’ll also be able to experience full integration with Nintendo’s MiiVerse service.

The game has yet to officially be announced, but the information here strongly suggests validity on the listing. This is also backed by the announcement that Canada would be getting the Wii Mini, and they had it listed as well before Nintendo spread the word. I’m still not completely on board with the Wii U, but having another Yoshi game like the one listed would definitely offer a gateway back into the good old gaming days.
