The cover art for the upcoming Bioshock: Infinite title released a little while ago, and on the front we get to see a full image of the game’s protagonist – Booker DeWitt. The guy looks rough and gruff, and while we’re glad to see some life-like art on the cover that’s not all we’re excited about. Just recently Irrational Games announced that they “like cosplayers so much they hired one.” What does that mean? Well so far with a new look at the full box art we see that, on the back cover, the “official” likeness of Elizabeth appears.
The new look is really great, and it’s based off of a cosplay put on by Anna Ormeli Moleva. Moleva was recently recruited by the developer to become the official face of Elizabeth, bringing her to life in a way that we’ve not yet seen. She’s been immortalized on the game’s cover, and there will be a new TV spot featuring her coming soon.
Bioshock: Infinite is due to release in February 2013 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. It’s right on the top of my “Can’t Wait To Play” list, and I’ll be grabbing it as soon as I can. The Bioshock world is one of the few created in games that I can get lost in, and while this isn’t a return to Rapture the game introduces a new location – Columbia – into the world that I will have the pleasure of exploring. It’ll be like the first time all over again.
