Free Copy of Original Bioshock Coming With Bioshock: Infinite On PS3

PS3 owners will receive a gift once Bioshock: Infinite releases in February of next year. 2K Games announced that each copy of Bioshock: Infinite that ships for the PS3 will include a free copy of the original Bioshock for players to run through. This was first announced back in May, but the new details on the offer change things up a bit.

According to Irrational this will be a US-only promotion. That means only copies of Bioshock: Infinite sold in the states will contain the copy of the original Bioshock for players. Specifically a 2K spokesperson noted, “I can confirm that the PS3 version of Bioshock: Infinite in North America contains a copy of the original Bioshock. This is not the case in the UK – it’s a local promotion in North America.”

Being a resident of the states I’m feeling good about the deal but I still can’t help but feel bad for those in other countries. I won’t be legging in on the deal, however, because I’ll pick the game up for Xbox 360, but it’s still some cool news. We’re still waiting on word from Irrational Games on the details for Bioshock: Infinite with the PlayStation Move, and hopefully they will surface soon.
