Steam Holiday Sale 2012 Is Live!
You can stop violently refreshing the Steam Store page every time you get on your computer, because the sale we’ve all been waiting for is here. There are daily deals, flash deals, publisher packs, voting, and yes, a new badge to be earned.
The big deals are on The Prince of Persia, Hitman, and Borderlands franchises, which are all seeing discounts of 50-75% (Borderlands 2 is the only one not receiving 75% off). You’ll also find Mirror’s Edge, Scribblenauts Unlimited and Wargame: European Escalation on the daily deals page.
There’s just one badge to be earned for the Holiday Sale, and you’ll need to complete 4 of the 6 listed tasks. Two of these just require you to participate in the Community Choice votes, one has you adding items to your wishlist, and another only takes logging in via the mobile Steam client. So technically, you can earn your badge without spending a dime. Though as usual, there are deals that are pretty hard to pass up. The event lasts until January 5th, so you have plenty of time to complete your tasks, and buy some awesome games.
