Street Fighter X Mega Man Download Now Available, Classic Mega Man Games Coming To 3DS Next Week

As promised, today, Capcom released fan-made title Street Fighter X Mega Man, which pits your favorite Blue Bomber against the likes of Ryu, Chun-Li, Blanka, and more. This game is a throwback to the original Mega Man titles that we all enjoyed on the NES, with graphics that will make you want to go back and play the originals. Launching the free game today is Capcom’s way of kicking off the 25th anniversary of Mega Man, but this isn’t the only thing they’re doing to celebrate.

Beginning on December 25th, the company will release the first of the six original Mega Man games on the 3DS. They will be releasing the other five games on a staggared schedule, leading into next year. Unfortunately they didn’t mention how much the games would sell for. We only have a little over a week to wait, so I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough.

Also, the Capcom-Unity site has been getting hammered since they launched the game, so if you’re looking to get your hands on a copy, try downloading it from this link instead.
