We all like to have subtle reminders of the games we love sitting around the house. Whether it’s a figurine of a character that will sit on a shelf, or a replica of a weapon that you’ll use in a cosplay, they’re fun to have, and are good conversation starters. If you’re getting a prop, then the most it will normally do is light up or make sounds. However, this is not always the case.
The upcoming Bioshock game has an interesting way of getting to and fro among the floating islands of Columbia. You’ll use a tool called a Skyhook along with a snazzy railway system to glide from one place to another. While you might think, ‘yea, the replica will be cool, but not much else.’ You will be pleased to know that it is not so!
The good people at N.E.C.A. (National Entertainment Collectibles Association) have not only made a replica of the Skyhook, but it works! Not in the sense that you can use it on a railway, but it spins and has moving parts, which is pretty freaking awesome. Better yet, it’s already available for pre-order, and will start out on the 26th of February. You’ll be looking at forking out about $80 if you’re wanting one.
