Watch Dogs To Be Released On “All Home Consoles” This Holiday Season [Rumor]

While E3 may have been a bit of a disappointment overall due to the lack of big-time announcements,  there were a few bright spots. During the show Ubisoft announced Watch Dogs, a brand new game with a focus on hacking into the world around you, from the computers that work the stop lights to the cell phones of people nearby. It’s an awesome looking game to say the least, though at this point it hasn’t exactly been known as to what platforms it is or isn’t coming out on.

According to some leaked promotional material, however, it looks like all of them. On the top of the poster it says that Watch Dogs will be “available on all home consoles”, and should be available for the holidays of 2013. The only other information on the poster is that if you pre-order the game you’ll get some sort of exclusive content.

So, while it doesn’t explicitly say what consoles will be getting the game, it should be pretty obvious that the poster is indicating that besides the PC, the Xbox 360, the PS3, and (I’m assuming) the Wii U, the next Sony and Microsoft consoles should be seeing this game as well. What I want to know it, however, is “will the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game be stripped down compared to the next gen console versions?” After all, while those consoles may be powerful enough to do everything that Ubisoft wants to do with Watch Dogs, they might also be under pressure to go and release a lesser version of the game in order to nudge people towards buying the latest and greatest consoles.
