PopCap Giving Peggle Deluxe Away For Free!

Most of us get lost in the triple A titles, the one’s that took years to make with millions of man hours behind them. We tend to think of those games as being the end-all-be-all of gaming, and that anything that didn’t take hundreds of people to develop is for some reason less deserving of our attention. Peggle is not one of those triple A titles, but it is a damn fun game, and it is available for free from PopCap to celebrate the company’s involvement with PAX East!

It’s a puzzle game, where you have 10 balls that you have to shoot at different boxes and bubbles, with the aim of hitting all the orange ones. It’s very simple, and yet it’s one of those games that can suck you in for hours at a time. And what’s more, there’s a quirky sort of humor in the different Peggle “Masters”.

The game will be available for free here until April 4th, so you have some time to go pick it up. Despite PopCap being a part of EA, no Origin account is required: all you have to do is provide an email address and they’ll send you the game and your key directly to that address, with no need to register the game in Origin. So if you’re looking for an addictive, colorful time waster, what are you waiting for?
