The First Assassin’s Creed 4 Gameplay Trailer Looks Amazing

With all the hype of Assassin’s Creed 3 winding down, it’s now time for Ubisoft to start hyping up the next installment in the series. Yesterday the company unveiled the first gameplay trailer for AC4 on the AssassinsCreed Youtube channel, and it looks absolutely beautiful. And don’t worry, despite the fact that this game will feature an emphasis on the high seas, there’s still going to be plenty of stabbing to be done here.

You’re Captain Edward Kenway, and you’re a pirate trained by Assassins. You’ll be searching for treasure and glory all over the Caribbean, from Havana, to Kingston, and numerous unexplored islands. Set in the year 1715, it’s right in the middle of the Golden Age of Pirates, and it’s looking pretty badass.

The game will be available on October 29th for all the major systems, from the Wii U, to the PS3 and PS4, and the Xbox 360. Most likely AC4 will also be available for Microsoft’s next console, whenever they announce it. Unfortunately there are a few GameStop-only pre-order bonuses, including a single player mission called “Black Island”, the unlockable “Black Ship”, as well as a Todd McFarlane-designed collectible poster.
