Bad news Sony and Nintendo fans. According to a report from Kotaku, it appears that Respawn Entertainment’s first game will be an exclusive for the next-gen Xbox. Respawn Entertainment, as you may recall, is headed by the former heads of Infinity Ward, who filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Activision when they were fired by the company. It’s also worth noting that a separate source has indicated that the Xbox 360 will also be getting the game.
Last month it was noted that the term “Titan” had been trademarked. That appears to be one of the main focuses of the game, as according to the sources the game is being described as “a battle of Davids and Goliaths.” In this case, the “Goliaths” are the Titans, which are giant mech-like exoskeleton walkers that are remarkable nimble for such a large size.
The “Davids” aren’t any slouches either, apparently. According to their source, they’re being described as heavily-armed foot soldiers, who can choose a a weapon load out to be able to take out a Titan if need be. In order to keep things balanced, the game will end up limiting the number of Titans that can be used in the game. This sounds pretty cool, but sadly we won’t be able to confirm if this is the case or not until E3, when Respawn Entertainment is planning on showing off the game for the first time.
