Gran Turismo 6 Demo To Be Released Next Week

When it comes to racing games for me, I tend to like them to be a bit on the free side. That’s why for years I’ve always loved the Need for Speed series, as it combines awesome cars with heart-pounding races. But for millions of people all over the world, NFS has nothing on the Gran Turismo series, which is perhaps the biggest racing series of games in the world.

You’ll be glad to know that Sony is releasing the demo for Gran Turismo 6 next Tuesday, on July the 2nd. The demo isn’t just going to be a demo, either, as it’s also going to be the basis for the GT Academy 2013. Qualifications for the competition start on July 2nd, and end July 28th. The cars available in the demo include the Nissan Leaf, 370Z, and GT-R.

Of course, if you don’t feel like being a part of the competition, but still want to play the demo you’re more than welcome to! The demo will be available for download even after the competition’s end on August 31st. GT6 has no release date as of yet, but according to Sony it’s to come out sometime this holiday season.
