We’re starting to get to the part of the year where we see the biggest games of the year are launched. Call of Duty, Assassin’s Creed, and Battlefield are all franchises that tend to be released around the holiday season, and with the arrival of the PS4 and Xbox One coming in November, this year will be bigger than most. We’ve got some time to go in order to play these games this year, but if you’re looking forward to BF4, then you’ll love this news!
EA confirmed on Friday that the open beta for Battlefield 4 will be coming to the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on October 1st. It isn’t clear when exactly the “Exclusive Battlefield 4 Beta” will launch, which is limited to those who have pre ordered the Origin Digital Deluxe Edition of Battlefield 4, purchased Medal of Honor: Warfighter’s Limited Edition or own a Battlefield 3 Premium membership, however. I would guess that those particular fans will get to see the beta a couple of days earlier than that, though EA has yet to say anything yet.
EA also announced the release dates for the PS4/Xbox One versions of Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, and Battlefield 4. While you might think that those games will be out on the same day as the console, you’d be wrong: they’re actually coming out early. North America will see those games come out on November 12th for the PS4 versions, and November 19th for the Xbox One. Europe, however, will get those games at launch, with November 29th for the PS4, and November 21st for Europe.
