Increased Weapon Customization Has Been Added To Battlefield 4, Says DICE

It used to be that when you were upgrading a gun in a game, the most you could do would be to take it from a level 1 to a level 2, and all the stats would go up accordingly. Sometimes, you might be able to determine just what stats get upgraded, but in the end you’d end up with the same gun as everybody else. Nowadays, however, it’s all about customizing your gun to the smallest details, and DICE is giving you as many options as you can hope.

In Battlefield 4, DICE has announced that they’ve tripled the amount of accessories available for each gun. Not only that, but they’ve even increased the amount of accessory slots for those guns as well. Now for a single assault rifle you can have up to 240,000 different set ups for that rifle, though let’s be honest here, most “pro” players will be using one of perhaps 3 different load-outs once they min-max the crap out of the guns.

If you’re a sniper, it looks like you’re going to have to get to work guesstimating distances. That’s because BF4 is adding in a new zeroing feature, where you’ll be able to adjust your sight from anywhere between 200 and 1000 meters. You can read all about it from the Battlefield Blog here!
