Destiny Might Not Be Coming To PCs After All

Bungie’s next big game,Destiny, looks pretty damn awesome. After all, it’s got a lot of the sci-fi elements and gameplay that helped makeHalo the cash-cow that it is today, while at the same time throwing in some fantasy and RPG elements to really make it a galaxy of its own. So far, it’s due to come out next year for both current and next-generation consoles (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One).

Unfortunately, if you were hoping to maybe pick it up on PC you’re going to be in for a bit of a disappointment. Bungie’s Eric Osborne told IGN in an interview not to expect to see a PC version anytime soon, if at all.

“It’s a huge challenge to ship four platforms and a massive opportunity to reach a new audience. We know there are a lot of people out there asking for PC and we know that there are a lot of gamers that would willingly give us money, but what we have to do is make sure we’re focused enough to bring a good experience to any platform that we ship on. What we 100 percent are not going to do is spread ourselves so thin that it negatively harms the other platforms. So right now we have the four platforms, which is a lot to focus on.”

Well, that kind of sucks. But in all honesty, I’d rather have a good looking game than one that’s poorly ported, any day of the week.
