Review – Gunnar Optiks

How many hours per day do you find yourself staring at a screen of some sort? Be it a computer monitor or a TV, many people spend several hours a day looking at one. Personally, I will easily spend 10-12 hours a day doing so. I’m either working, watching a movie or playing video games, which takes its toll on my eyes. I do my best to take breaks to get away from the screens, but even that doesn’t prevent my eyes from hurting by the end of the day. So what can I do to help? The guys at Gunnar believe they have the answer.

I’ve seen Gunnar’s products before, but never really took them seriously. What are some tinted glasses going to do for me? After talking with one of the co-founders of the company, I decided I’d put them to the test. As a gamer and a working professional that spends most of his day staring a monitor, I figured that it would be worth it.

Review – Logitech Gaming Headset G330

If you play PC games with other people online, there’s a good chance that you use some sort of voice chat. When playing WoW, our entire guild would use Ventrilo in order to stay coordinated in raids, or just to chit-chat. I never cared for free-standing mics, so I would always be wearing a headset. Sometimes it can be hard to find one that sounds good, picks up your voice properly and feels comfortable during long-term gaming sessions. This is why I love getting to review new headsets, so you don’t have to figure out the hard way whether or not one is worth buying. Well today I’m going to be sharing my thoughts on the Logitech Gaming Headset G330.

First Look

The G330 headset is of the behind-the-head variety, making it smaller than more traditional headsets. You’ll see that the width is actually adjustable on these, which is a welcome feature not often seen (on behind-the-head styles). The mic extends from the left ear and is adjustable. You will find in-line controls and your choice of standard stereo jacks or a USB adapter for hooking the device to your computer.

Review – Buckshot Pump-Action Shotgun For The Wii

These days Wii accessories are only outnumbered by those made for the iPod. Unfortunately, Wii accessories are generally cheap pieces of plastic that do little to add to the enjoyment of the game, despite what the product claims. The only time I bother with such an addition to my Wiimote is when I’m playing a shooter.

I’ve gone through a number of different gun accessories, most of them weren’t of decent quality, or in the case of the ezShot I reviewed last year, couldn’t even perform basic functions properly. Thus I’ve continued to use the official Zapper that came with my Link’s Crossbow Training game. Even that one isn’t perfect, as my large hands sometimes feel cramped when using it. Needless to say, I was skeptical when I received the Buckshot controller from Komodo.
