From the minds of Digital Reality, and the developer Candygun Games comes a new take on the zombie defense genre. Though this may be a new vision, it’s got an old spin on it that sets it apart from the rest.
Dead Block is set in the 1950s, a time when a gallon of gas was no more than a few pennies, the “golden age” of cinema was in full swing, and when a new craze called rock ‘n roll had just broke out on to the scene. It was a simpler time, a time that grew ugly way too fast. This rock ‘n roll craze not only swept the nation, it found some way to reanimate the dead! Now it’s up to you to defend your life against teeming hordes of the undead.
In the trailer below, we get to see a first look at how players will be dispatching these undead enemies using the skills and tools at their disposal. Most of these elimination methods rely on the use of door traps, which range from a toaster shocking the zombie, or a trap that drops boxes on the zombies head, making others attack him. Check out the trailer below, and get ready for Dead Block when it hits Xbox Live Arcade on July 6th, and the PlayStation Network on July 20th.
