We May Not Be Seeing A Respawn Title Until 2015

Iain McCraig, a concept artist working for Respawn Entertainment, spoke of some unsettling news recently. According to him, we won’t likely be seeing a Respawn Entertainment title until the year 2015. That’s like, a million years from now. How could he say such a thing?

While at a Develop Conference in the UK, McCraig stated, “I’m having the most fun working with Respawn Entertainment, and I hate that I can’t show you guys what I’m doing there until 2015.” The room went silent, a pin was heard hitting the ground, and then came the tears. Why must we wait that long? Is the title going to take that much time to polish? Will it be amazing? There are so many unanswered questions here.

Respawn was contacted about this statement, but no word has been delivered on their part. Until we hear other word, it’s left for assumption that McCraig is working on the title that the screenshot above represents, if that’s it at all. The one glimmer of hope that we can hang on to is that McCraig may be referring to what he, specifically, is working on, and not the entire studio. This could mean something totally different. Until then, we will wait.
