EA Offering Refunds To Some Tiger Woods 12 Buyers

When you see a game get released on multiple platforms, you generally expect the experience to be roughly the same, regardless of which you choose. The exception here has usually been the Wii, as it has always focused more on motion controls than high-end graphics. However, when PC gamers picked up their copies of Tiger Woods 12, they found it to be vastly different from the experience promised on all platforms.

So what was different? For starters, the entire multiplayer experience is routed through Tiger Woods Online, which is a crappy-looking browser-based game that has been out for well over a year. Oh, and you only get three months of multiplayer action for free, then you’ll have to start paying for it. If you’re skeptical about the graphics, the picture above is an actual screenshot of the game, with the graphics on maximum (thanks to Reddit user I_Have_A_Van for the screenshot). Needless to say, fans are pissed.

Thankfully there is one ray of hope. Some users have reported that they were able to receive refunds from EA by using the live chat feature of the EA support page. If you were suckered into buying the game with false promises, I would definitely suggest hitting EA up for a refund.
