Dead or Alive 5 Confirmed In Development

Tecmo Koei has just announced that the Dead or Alive series will be continuing as the fifth installment in the game is in production. Dead or Alive 5 has been confirmed for the Xbox 360 and PS3, and is set to arrive sometime in 2012.

“It is exciting for us to officially let fans know that we’ve been working on Dead or Alive 5,” said Yosuke Hayashi, Team NINJA leader. “Our vision for this next installment is that of what we believe is the evolution of Dead or Alive which is to deliver a high quality, high energy action fighting experience that still keeps to its amazing spirit.”

In Dead or Alive 5 players will be able to feel more involved in the action as they see their fighters sweat as they exert more energy.  Further, the grittier realistic design of these beloved fighters adds a new layer of depth to the DEAD OR ALIVE series.  Players can also kick up the competition in online multiplayer modes where fighters must learn to utilize their strength and weaknesses to K.O. challengers.
