GameStop To Sell Pre-Paid Steam Cards

When you go to buy a new PC game, where do you usually get it? I’d say that the vast majority of mine are purchased through Steam. Honestly, the only reason I don’t use the service is if I find a really good deal elsewhere (that I can activate on Steam), or if the game isn’t available on Valve’s platform. There are plenty of reasons why people love to buy their games through Steam, which is why it’s I feel bad for those people who don’t have either a credit/debit card or Paypal account to use. Without one of these, you’re completely cut off from one of the best PC gaming retailers. But soon that will be changing, thanks to GameStop.

That’s right, of all people, GameStop is going to start making it easier for people to get their favorite games on Steam. They will soon begin selling pre-paid Steam cards, which you can use to buy games, without the need to have a credit/debit card or Paypal account. What’s more, you’ll actually be able to trade in console games (if you’re into that kind of thing) and put the credit toward your Steam library.

The vouchers are said to be going on sale May 15, though we don’t know exactly what denominations they will be sold in (other than the $50 one in the pic above). We’ll keep you posted when we know more.
