The upcoming sequel to Demon’s Souls will give players the opportunity to be an actual part of the game when it releases next year. Fans of the game can like its Facebook page and submit up to three designs for a shield to be included in the game. Ten finalists will be chosen and they will receive a copy of the game, signed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. Beyond this, three will receive the grand prize: A signed, limited edition of the game, and an official spot in the game’s credits.
This is a great opportunity, as I am sure many players worldwide have lost much to Demon’s Souls. The countless ragequits, the numerous controllers thrown at the wall/out the window, and more curse words screamed than you can shake a sword at. Dark Souls promises to be everything one would expect from a Demon’s Souls sequel, including the insane difficulty.
Players will find a download link on the game’s Facebook page that will provide them with the shield template to work from. After your work is complete, just submit it back via the same page, and cross those talons. Maybe this will be your one reason not to hate the game when it releases, eh?
