It’s Official: Minecon Is Sold Out

Just in case you were wondering, or perhaps planning on purchasing a last-minute ticket, Minecon is sold out. That’s right, the Las Vegas event no longer has any tickets available to anyone. While this doesn’t come as a surprise now, the guys at Mojang are probably scratching their heads, with good reason.

When Notch tossed around the idea of having an event such as Minecon, it didn’t grab a strong response at first. This hinted toward the possibility that a convention wouldn’t go over so well, and that’s definitely not what the developers wanted. The twist came after the announcement when hype started to build for the event, and it hasn’t stopped yet. Here we are three weeks before the opening day of the convention, and badges are all gone.

Those who are to attend Minecon in Vegas will not only be able to visit panels, discussions, and meet the devs themselves, but they’ll also receive some special gifts from them as well. Attendees will receive free codes for both Scrolls and Cobalt once the games are ready for launch. If you’re one of the lucky people who have a ticket in hand, we’re sure you’ll love this opportunity.
