The Binding of Isaac did pretty well over the holidays, and many new players have since picked up the game. Since the holidays have passed, Edmund MicMillen has announced that there are plans in the works to expand The Binding of Isaac and add tons of new content.
Over on McMillen’s Twitter page, he has been speaking about this new expansion over the past few days. He says that it will add “more of everything plus a few extras here and there.” McMillen also wants us to know that “the core gameplay won’t change,” though the expansion will add “at least 50% more than what is already in the game.”
From what McMillen tells us, the expansion will be a great addition to the game. He claims that it will arrive “in the next 2-4 months.” After some debate, he’s settled on “Wrath of the Lamb” as the official expansion name, and it will include “enemies, alt chapters, bosses, items, characters, challenges, new happenings and mechanics as well as a ton of other little details.” This will also be the final expansion release for the game, so it’s going to hit with a bang.
