Dark Souls PC Release Date Revealed – Death Comes This Summer

Earlier this week we brought news on the big announcement that the deadly RPG Dark Souls would actually be making the move to PC. The team at Namco Bandai came together and really took what the community was saying to heart, and aim to deliver exactly what they’re asking for. At the recent Namco Bandai Gamer’s Day event, Director of FromSoftware Hidetaka Miyazaki took center stage and announced the PC version’s release date. Get ready to be bludgeoned on August 24th of this year.

The PC release is being called the “Prepare to Die Edition,” and it’s for good reason. There will be brand new bosses to face, along with other new content that is absent from its console brethren. The original version of Dark Souls was wicked awesome, and the PC game will be no different.

When Miyazaki took the stage for the announcement, he noted that the fan petition was the key in bringing the game to the PC. This is a great step for the community, as it shows that voices really can be heard. Especially when there are thousands of them represented in electronic signatures. As more develops on the PC version of Dark Souls, we’ll update.
