New Prototype 2 Trailer Takes The Virus To The Real World

When it comes to live-action trailers and commercials for video games, most of the time any that are produced come out to be sub-par. We’ve seen some for Halo, and Fear 3, and while they weren’t horrible, they didn’t immediately invoke response. With Activision’s Prototype 2, however, the new live-action trailer could sell the game all by itself.

In Prototype 2 you play as Sgt. James Heller. He’s lost his family, and he’s infected with the very virus that created the monster responsible for taking them away from him. Now he’s got nothing to lose. Throughout the course of the events in Prototype 2, you’ll watch as Heller uses the powers granted to him by this curse to exact revenge on Alex Mercer and the entirety of Blacklight.

The live-action trailer takes Heller from some dude in the game and turns him into a living, breathing person that players can sympathize with. The music, the camera shots, and the demonic smile on Alex Mercer’s face all play into creating a story that impresses many a player in the community. Watching the new trailer has turned me from wanting this game, to needing it. Check it out below and count down the days until April 24th, when the game releases.
