Wreck-It Ralph Tie-In Game Is Real, and You Can Play It
Disney is working on a CG movie that’s inspired by video games, and it’s called Wreck-It Ralph. At first I didn’t think the flick would be any good, but after watching the trailer for it I was blown away. It’s definitely the type of title that older gamers and kids will both enjoy. It features a video game character named Ralph who spends his time wrecking a giant building. He eventually gets tired of being the bad guy, and goes out in search of a new game to star in.
The game in the movie is called Fix-It Felix Jr., and we’ve found out it’s an actual game. You can actually play the game online. In this old-school title you play as Felix Jr., a window repair man who happens to really enjoy sweet pies. He can’t leave them sitting on any windowsill for too long, so his job makes the perfect opportunity for him to pick up these treats as he trudges along.
Felix will work his way up the building, repairing windows and eating pies as Ralph works to destroy it. People inside of the apartment building try to help Felix out by leaving him sweets to devour as he climbs upward, doing his job. It all comes to an end, however, when Felix gets lobbed on the head with a brick, meaning you’ve lost. It’s a fun little title, and it really gets you in the mood to see the movie.
