PS Vita Gains YouTube Access!

If you’re an owner of a Vita, you might be aware of the different apps that are available for the system. From Facebook, to Twitter, and many others, you’re able to do many non-gaming things with the system. Now you can add YouTube to that list, as the YouTube app was released to the system yesterday!

Thanks in part to the Vita’s incredibly bright and crisp 5″ OLED screen, you can watch the latest and greatest of what YouTube has to offer in excruciating detail. This is accomplished by the fact that the Vita can support the streaming of videos up to 720p. As far as I can tell, not even my iPod Touch can do this, not that it really matters as the entirety of my iPod fits within the screen of the Vita!

To download the app, all you need to do is go to the PSN Store and look under the apps. It’s free, so just hit the “Buy Now” button and it’ll start downloading to your Vita immediately. I’ve got a feeling that I’ll be carrying my Vita with me more often now when I visit my friends, if only to bombard them with stupid cat videos now!
