Back in September our good old friends at Game Informer had a cover story on Batman: Arkham City, which was pretty in-depth. Now that story has been published online in its entirety, and it includes a lot of details that you might have not heard about the game. After the article mentions Catwoman, it touches on some brand new game mechanics such as the ability to execute quicker takedowns with correct button timing.
Batman has many new ways to handle enemies in fact. He can taunt them, perform projectile counters, and he can even handle multiple counters at once. After all, he’s Batman. The caped crusader also has a special “beat down” attack that will knock the socks off even the most armored of enemies with a series of blows. New gadgets lie upon his spiffy utility belt as well such as the “Broadcast Analyzer”. This handy gadget lets Batman listen in on radio broadcasts by the police and others and lets him hone in on their whereabouts.
The article is pretty drawn out, but it is full of details, so we urge you to go have a look.
