MicroBot – Taking The Fight To Your Insides
MicroBot starts off with a serene and peaceful travel through a hypodermic needle right into the bloodstream of a suffering victim.
Ah, now that we have your attention, I’d like to talk about this innovative shooter from EA. MicroBot is a dual-stick shooter, in which the player controls a tiny MicroBot through the bloodstream in an effort to rid the host’s body of earlier versions of itself. It is a downloadable title set to release on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live this Winter. The left stick controls the ship, and the right stick controls the firing mechanism.
In this shooter, which reminds us of Space Invaders, the opposing force isn’t asteroids or alien ships – they are the blood cells and intestinal walls of the body in which the MicroBot is injected. Perhaps one of the coolest aspects of the game is the ability to customize your MicroBot, so that you can have better weaponry, defenses, and speed.
