A Transformers MMO Is Actually Coming
Jagex, the company who brought us Runescape, and Hasbro have just announced that they are coming together to create a new MMO game based on the Transformers. The game is set to launch next year in all major U.S. markets.
No real details are known about the MMO at this time, although one can assume what the game will be like judging by the type of material produced by Jagex. Since there is such a close release timeframe I assume that the MMO will be browser-based, which can make or break the title. Given that the press release for the game states that, “Iconic Autobots and Decepticons set to battle online in 2012,” we can assume that players will take the form of an actual bot, and not a human sidekick.
I do look forward to seeing more details on this possibly fun MMO, what about you?
