Rumor – E3 2009 To Open Its Doors To The Public In June

I’ve been pretty sore about E3 for the last couple of years. When I was younger, it was my dream to go to E3 and take in all of the wonder and amazement of the show. Unfortunately, during the past two years, when I’ve been able to consider going to the event, it has been lacking in both wonder and amazement. However, if rumors are to be believed, next year may see a return to the days of awesome.

According to G4, the event will be held on June 2-4, for invited press and exhibitors, while June 5th and 6th will be open to the public. That’s right, a public E3 again! I think that if this were true, it would be an excellent move on the ESA’s part. The real question is whether this is too little, too late. We’re still waiting for an official word on the matter, but we’ll keep you posted.
