US To Get Club Nintendo By Year’s End
Over in Japan, Nintendo has this exclusive organization that rewards customers for their loyalty. Many gamers in the US have looked at some of the promotional items received by Club Nintendo and wondered why we aren’t special enough to get in on the action too. Nintendo has previously stated that the US is too large for the program, and that we get pre-order bonuses not found in other territories, which make up for it. However, they have finally caved, and we will be getting our own Club Nintendo here in the US.
What’s so great about Club Nintendo anyway? Well, you can collect points, or “stars” to redeem for exclusive products that can’t otherwise be obtained. I recall a pretty sweet Super Famicom controller being available as a reward not long ago, which I would have loved to get in on. Look for the club’s debut sometime before the end of the year.
