Metallica Unloads At Black Ops Launch Event

Now I wish we could get Metallica to play at our launch event here in Bloomington, but alas, it won’t happen. The band will, however, be performing at EA’s launch event this Thursday, where the band will do their part to help raise $1 million for The Call of Duty Endowment. The fund’s goal is to assist soldiers with the painstaking transition back into civilian life, and help them establish new careers.

Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision, the unemployment rate for our veterans is 21% higher than the rate for all other Americans, with over half a million veterans unemployed to date.

The event is set to be held at Santa Monica Airport’s Hanger 8 on November 4th.
