ESRB Pounds A ‘Mature’ Rating On Bulletstorm And Attempts To Summarize Its Gameplay

If you find yourself wondering just what Bulletstorm celebrates at its core, then reading the ESRB’s summary of its gameplay won’t aid you much. The ESRB has rated the skill-shooting FPS as ‘mature’ meaning that no minor can purchase it without legal parent’s consent.

The ESRB describes Bulletstorm’s inclusion of “Intoxicated Skillshots”, the references to sexual acts such as “having sex with one’s mother”, veneral diseases, and skillshots that contain sexual innuendos (like Gag Reflex, Rear Entry, Drilldo, Mile High Club). The board especially takes note of one skillshot called “Fire in the Hole,” describing it as “the ability to shoot one’s exposed buttocks.”

For a look at the official summary, check out the ESRB Bulletstorm page here.

Oh, ratings board, you make us giggle.
