Portal 2 Allows User-Created Content On All Platforms, And Has Dual Rewards

We know that the mod tools for Portal 2 will be exclusive to the PC due to the dependencies on the Windows OS, but Valve’s Chet Faliszek has confirmed to us that the user-created content being spawned from said tools will make their way to “all platforms.” Faliszek stated that “the content that comes out is agnostic, and so we will be seeing that on all platforms.”

This may be true, but the way the content is distributed will be different to each platform. “Depending on the platform you’re on, I should say, will depend on how we’re delivering it,” Faliszek explained. He also stated that the PS3 version of the game would get user-created content via Steam for PS3.

Also, in the bin of Portal news, Faliszek revealed that each of the game’s campaign modes (single player and co-op) will have their own individual rewards upon completion. “Both sets of credits [will include something special], because we’ve got two credits. So we had to do something twice as amazing,” he stated. We don’t necessarily know what to expect with this dual-reward system, but we can only hope for something amazing.
