C2E2 2011

If you were in Chicago last weekend, hopefully you had a chance to hit up C2E2 (Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo). It was three days jam-packed with comic book characters, celebrities, and a lot of comic book artists. Seeing 34,000 people; an increase of over 7,000 attendees since last year, show up, this will surely be something that’s going to keep growing. Several celebrities appeared ranging from characters from the Trueblood characters to the actors from Middlemen.

There were a lot of media tie-ins as there are a lot of comic book=based movies coming out. The Green Lantern, and Thor seemed to be the main cinematic attractions. The main character of Thor was also there to make all the ladies swoon.

Just toddling around the convention hall, you can find tons of old comic gems and artists who are on the rise. We had a moment with Claudio Sanchez, the lead singer for the well-known band Coheed and Cambria. Look for that interview a little later, along with our pictures from the show and some Cosplay Shorts.
