FindMakarov.com Site Countdown Ends, Reveals Fan Film

The countdown that was shown on FindMakarov.com has ended, at it revealed something we surely didn’t expect – a fan film.

The film was self-funded purely for fun as explained by director Jeff Chan of We Can Pretend, a Toronto-based viral marketing company. The film is meant to show how the Call of Duty franchise could be adapted as a feature-length movie. Chan stated that they “wouldn’t just call themselves fans,” but gave no information whether they spoke to Activision about the project.

Activision had this to say, “We gave a statement on Friday. No further comment.” Classy, Activision. Classy.

The fan film was written by Patrick Lo, who in turn created the website. Junction FX handled the special/visual effects, with David Fradkin producing the film.

Check out the film below. Honestly, the film is done really well. It kind of makes me want to go back through Modern Warfare 2.
