Minecraft Update Is Hungry Like The Wolf

Minecraft’s creator Notch has already announced that he plans to add achievements to his masterpiece, but that’s still a ways off. For now, there are wolves.

The new Minecraft update, while not specifying a release date, will add wolves to the many creatures that roam about the world. The wolves are “fairly rare, and they won’t despawn once you’ve tamed them,” says Notch.

The video below shows the wolves in action, and they look quite adorable. Notch commented on the upcoming achievements by saying that they will NOT be ones such as ‘cut down 1000 trees,’ but more challenging like ‘ride a pig off a cliff.’
