The Tale of the Haunted Majora’s Mask Game Comes To An End, A Playable One

Back in September a story floated around the net about a haunted copy of Majora’s Mask for the N64. The story ended up being part of an even bigger fiasco that is set to end with a playable continuation of the creepy story.

Jadusable, the creator of the story, explained what fans should expect with the upcoming chapter in the haunted saga.

“Players will finally get a chance to fight back against the ‘entity’ that haunted the protagonist in the original story. The game itself is not a traditional video game — instead of being a standalone product, it’s used as one of many tools players will have to use together to progress in the story.”

This playable ending is nearing completion. The game itself is part of a big project, for instance, it may direct players toward a URL that contains emails. These emails may include different clues that players will need to continue their progress. Jadusable tells us, “The catch is that, in order to defeat the entity, you have to download the game. But if players download the game, they’re inviting the entity into their computers just like ‘Jadusable,’ so expect some rather disturbing, fourth-wall breaking moments.”

Check out the debut trailer for the playable chapter below.

I can’t wait.
