Claptrap Helps Out With An Important Proposal
The Fyrestone Bounty Board looks a bit different today than usual. Instead of a list of bounties, we see nuptials plastered across the entirety of the board! Gearbox Software helped make it possible for Borderlands fan Ben to propose to his Borderlands fan girlfriend Tora in a one-of-a-kind way. Ben contacted Gearbox some time ago in hopes that they could lend a hand with his proposal idea, and they delivered. He explained that when he had first met Tora he gave her the “gamer talk,” which basically consists of explaining his hobby and how it might affect the possible relationship. Tora then responded immediately with, “I love Borderlands! Let’s play!”
Ever since that moment the joyous duo have cooperated through the game’s campaign from start to finish on both playthroughs, including all of the DLC. Ben says that Borderlands easily made the “awkward starting out stage of any relationship go extremely smooth.” When the time came for him to make plans for a proposal, he reached out to Gearbox to see if, on a one-in-a-million chance, he could get some help from a special friend with the proposal. The end result is the video you see below. Video games are seriously just this awesome.
