PopCap Creates A New Studio For Churning Out A Most Unpleasant Horse

PopCap games, the creator of such titles as Plants vs Zombies and Bejeweled, has created a brand new gaming studio all on its own. The new studio is going by 4th and Battery, and they already have a sweet little game on the horizon.

The game is called Unpleasant Horse, and that’s exactly what you are. Here’s 4th and Battery’s description of the new game, coming to the iOS:

The good news is that you are a horse with wings. Nobody doesn’t like those! The bad news is that you are a, well, rather unpleasant horse with wings. How unpleasant? Glad you asked. Get this: Your idea of a good time is bouncing from cloud to cloud and on to the backs of other, cuter flying ponies, who will thus be sent plummeting to a gruesome, bone-chewing demise, thanks to an unfortunately placed series of meat grinders on the ground below. (Really kind of a tragedy of civil engineering.) All is well and good for you, though—unless you happen to miss a cloud or pony, and then, guess what? Those meat grinders don’t play favorites. So keep those wings flapping, don’t miss a jump, and keep a lookout for cool powerups to keep you flying longer and higher!

The game actually sounds like it would be great, and more so a huge time-consumer. PopCap made the decision to create this new little studio in efforts to release some creative pressure in the mains. It looks like PopCap has some amazing talent behind its doors, and they need more room to expand. The name 4th and Battery comes from the intersection in Seattle, Washington where the studio is located.

Unpleasant Horse looks like it is sure to be a lot of fun, and I think PopCap made a great decision in creating 4th and Battery. Check out the trailer for Unpleasant Horse below.
