An Amnesia Marathon To Support Charity?

Charities are popping up more and more every year, with most of them being unrelated to most of the population. There are many people out there that feel the urge to help others out, but they just don’t know how to reach out their specific community. Thankfully a group of gamers out there acknowledged this very idea and came up with a plan.

Vernon Shaw and his brother Tim plan to run an Amnesia: The Dark Descent marathon starting today and this coming Sunday, switching off to complete the whole game. While the main player is immersed within the game, the inactive player along with a group of friends will attempt everything in their power to scare everyone “in every way imaginable.” This will be perfect to tune in for.

The event will be livestreamed here, so be sure to get in on it. All of the proceeds from the marathon will go to Camp Kesem UCSD, which holds an annual camp for cancer patients. It’s good to see gamers taking something so personal and turning it into something as meaningful as this.
