Bioshock Infinite: Ken Levine Speaks About Skylines In Developer Diary

A new feature in Bioshock Infinite is the all-new Skyline system, which exists as the backbone of Columbia, the floating city upon which the game takes place. In the latest developer diary on the title, creator Ken Levine explains the construction of the Skyline network, as well as how it is set up to function.

The Skylines are constructed railways that connect each floating district of Columbia together. The rails not only offer up a new means of transportation to each different city district, but they also introduce a new way to approach combat. Players can use the rails to escape from enemies, or they can launch aerial attacks that provide the drop on other foes.

Judging from the video below, the guys at Irrational Games put a lot of legwork into creating the Skyline system, and it will provide a brand new player experience. Bioshock Infinite still is without a release date, but as soon as one is announced, we will update. Check out the new developer diary below, and tell us what you think.
