Face It, Gears of War Will Not Be Coming To The PS3
Epic Games Design Director Cliff Bleszinski responded to the long-running rumors started at this year’s Game Developer’s Conference about the Gears of War series coming to the PS3. In his rebuttal, Cliff stated that “there’s zero chance of Gears of War being on the PlayStation 3. Can we bury that now?”
In an interview while at this year’s E3, Cliff added, “We have a great deal with Microsoft, they’re a great partner.” This further shows that Epic Games has no will to sever ties with what they already have in place.
So it looks like that long set of rumors has been squashed away. Cliff himself took them under his boot, though he teased the fact that if the game would ever ship for the PS3, it would be “exciting news.” The latest installment in the Gears series hits September 20th.
